Welcome To SF Ranch
The SF Ranch began its ranching operation in 1959 in eastern Kansas and has always maintained the same philosophy for excellence.  The SF Ranch has always been recognized for its exceptional bloodlines, and we carried this commitment with us when we moved to Texas in the early 1970’s.  Comanche became our home in 1981 and is located in Comanche County, deep in the heart of Texas, on the northern edge of the famed Texas Hill Country.

Our 800 acre ranch is located 7 miles southwest of Comanche, which is approximately 100 miles southwest of Ft. Worth, 30 miles east from Brownwood and 70 miles southeast of Abilene.

We welcome visitors—year-round.  Please feel free to contact us.

Cattle

We have continued our tradition and philosophy and carried them into our Registered Cattle Program.

While we maintain our specialized herd, and continue our focus on top quality Angus bloodlines, we have expanded into the commercial market with top quality Hereford bulls from breeders such as Burns Farms and the Dudley Brothers Ranches.  The uses of these Hereford bulls are allowing us to achieve F1 black baldies that will fit into any commercial breeding operation.

Our focus of the Angus Cattle is with good EPD’s, BW, and Calving Ease. This is achieved by utilizing such bloodlines as S A F Focus of E R, S A F Fame, D H D Traveler 6807, T C Stockman 365, and B/R New Design 036 along with many more.

Also in keeping with the Texas tradition, we have a small herd of Registered Texas Longhorns.

Come by and experience this living symbol of the old West.

We welcome you to check out all of our herds.

Labradors

labradors
The SF Ranch is committed to raising the multi-purpose Labrador — breeding top quality AKC & HRC dogs for hunt test, gun dogs and all around family pets. As avid hunters, we spend many days in the field enjoying the company of a good gun dog.

Our retriever program is based on breeding to top quality field trial lines, which have the ability to produce quiet, easy going dogs, who have sweet temperaments, strong desire and a "willing to please attitude".

Hunting

Imagine yourself eagerly anticipating the joy of a good hunt.  As morning breaks slowly – crisp and clear, the sun gently rises over the oaks and the early morning spreads across the fields.  Mother Nature awakens; the deer move gently toward the feeders and the dove lift off their roost as they search for the morning feeding.
